This blend uses organic black tea leaves from the AMBA Tea Estate in south-eastern Sri Lanka; An organic farm and social enterprise in the Uva highlands that help support local communities, care for the natural environment and produce stunning tea leaves. They also grow a wide array of other teas, spices, fruits & vegetables, and make products using their own produce to supply business and customers all around the world. We’re proud to work with this fantastic estate to offer this wonderful tea and hope you enjoy it as much as we have!

This is a special tea - a strong Sri Lankan black tea with classic Uva characteristics. It’s similar to a classic English breakfast but more robust & bold! It takes on & and pairs really well with our punchy spice blend, whilst naturally lending itself to be made into a milky tea - absolutely perfect for a masala chai!
You can use this blend for a simple pot of tea, but we recommend taking the time and making a proper masala chai - sweet, milky, spicy & strong!
Cardamom and ginger will shine as you take your first sip, with a lovely, warm background flavour of cinnamon. As you continue you’ll get aniseed notes from the cloves which compliment the other spices wonderfully, followed by a punch of black pepper & a hint of fennel for a super aromatic finish. Adding a little sweetness to your masala chai will really make those spices sing and bring out the flavours.
Ingredients: Organic Uva black tea leaves, organic cinnamon, cardamom pods, organic dried ginger root, organic cloves, organic black peppercorns, organic fennel seeds.
